An application must be made through the Town Lansing for water and sewer service. Applicant must provide two (2) different forms of identification at the time of application. A deposit of $150 is required before service is started. Deposits will be refunded when the account is paid in full and one of the following occurs: non-property owner to notify the Town of Lansing 30 days before day of departure; property owner to notify the Town of Lansing that the property has been sold and transfer is recorded in the county registry office. Any property that is unoccupied and the property owner would like service to be started, an application, must be completed and a deposit paid first. Section 9.(b) If a break in the water line on the customer’s side of the meter occurred and the premises was left vacant or unoccupied by the customer for a period in excess of two weeks without turning off the water at the meter, the customer will be responsible for the full amount of the bill.
WATER BILLS ARE DUE WHEN RENDERED. THE TOWN OF LANSING IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR FAILURE OF THE U.S. POSTAL SERVICE TO DELIVER BILLS. IF NOT PAID WITHIN 20 DAYS OF THE DATE, A LATE FEE OF $10 WILL BE ADDED TO THE ACCOUNT. IF NOT PAID BY NOON 14 DAYS AFTER THE DUE DATE, SERVICE WILL BE TERMINATED. A FEE OF $25 AND FULL PAYMENT OF ALL AMOUNTS DUE MUST BE PAID BEFORE SERVICE IS RESUMED. RECONNECTION WILL BE MADE ONLY DURING REGULAR BUSINESS HOURS.
